Technical (Python) Support Engineer – Weekends

We’re looking for a Technical (Python) Support Engineer to keep our production applications stable and performant during weekend shifts.
You’ll handle incident triage, troubleshoot and fix technical issues, and implement small improvements while collaborating with the core engineering team whenever escalation is required.
Working Schedule
This is a part-time weekend position, working on Saturday and Sunday.
Choose one shift:
- 07:00–13:00
- 13:00–19:00
- 19:00–01:00
- 01:00–07:00
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and troubleshoot Python/Django web applications
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement quick fixes
- Debug and optimize database performance using PostgreSQL
- Work with core AWS services, including EC2 and S3
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Keep code changes clean, documented, maintainable, and secure
- Handle end-user requests and provide professional technical assistance
- Escalate complex or critical issues to the core engineering team when required
What We’re Looking For
- English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
- 6+ months of hands-on experience with Python and Django
OR, if you don’t yet have commercial experience:
- Completed relevant courses or bootcamps covering Python, Django, databases, AWS, or related technologies
- Strong technical fundamentals, including data types, HTTP/REST, Git, basic Linux, and debugging
- Hands-on experience through pet projects, labs, or internships — GitHub links are welcome
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL or another relational database
- Basic familiarity with AWS, particularly EC2 and S3
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Basic understanding of REST APIs
- Basic frontend knowledge, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Based in Ukraine or Europe
Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of web application security best practices
- Experience working in an Agile environment
